UGC invites all Universities HEIs in India to use CUET score for UG admissions
February 19, 2023
The University Grants Commission, UGC, has asked all universities and higher education institutions to accept and utilise CUET results for admission to undergraduate programmes.
In a recent notification released on February 16, the Commission advised HEIs, state universities, deemed universities, and private universities to adopt and apply the CUET score for admission to their UG programmes. This programme will spare students from having to take numerous admission exams on different dates, some of which would overlap.
This action by HEIs would also benefit students by giving them an equal opportunity to sit for the CUET UG examination and gain admission to any UG degree throughout the country.
The registration procedure for the CUET UG 2023 test has already begun, and applicants may register online at cuet.samarth.ac.in. The application deadline is March 12, 2023. The examination will be held beginning on May 21.
The number of subjects and the format of the question papers will stay unchanged. In addition to one or two languages and the general test, a candidate may take up to six domain topics. Each day, the exam will be given in 13 different languages in three different shifts. Candidates should visit the UGC's official website for further information.
