The UGC recommends making four year UG courses mandatory for degrees with honors

The change, however, will have no effect on students who have enrolled in four-year undergraduate programmes provided by Delhi University, which permits students to graduate with honours even if they leave after six semesters or three years.
Students wishing to graduate with honor's in any field will be required to undertake four-year undergraduate programmes, according to new regulations expected to be issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) on Monday (FYUP).
