Union Budget 2022-23: Here are the major Announcements In Education Sector

  • Financial services and technology courses will be offered without being restricted by Indian regulations at world-class universities.

  • In order to improve urban planning courses, AICTE will take the lead.

  • 5 urban planning academic institutions will become centres of excellence. Endowments of ₹250 crores will be provided to each institution.

  • Students across the country will have access to a digital university that will provide them with a world-class universal education with a personalized learning experience. It will be available in multiple Indian languages as well as in ICT formats. The university will be structured along a network node and spoke model.

  • The development of high-quality e-content in all spoken languages will be delivered via the internet, mobile devices, TV, radio, and digital teachers. By empowering and equipping the teachers with digital tools of teaching and facilitating better learning outcomes through competitive development of quality e-content, a competition mechanism will be set up to develop quality e-content.

  • Agricultural universities are revising their curriculums to meet the requirements of modern farming.

  • ITIs will provide skilling courses as part of their reorientation of skilling programs. A digital DESH e-portal will be launched for skilling, upskilling, and reskilling of young people.

  • PM eVIDYA will increase the number of TV channels from 12 to 200 through its 'One Class, One Channel' program. As a result, all states will be able to provide supplementary education for classes 1-12 in regional languages.
