AICTE Doctoral Fellowship ADF Scheme

Through the AICTE Doctoral Fellowship (ADF) Scheme 2022-23, the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT Delhi) invites applications from prospective and qualified candidates for admission to PhD programmes in computer science and engineering (CSE), electronics and communications engineering (ECE), and computational biology (CB).
AICTE established the scheme to promote research culture in AICTE-approved institutions, to encourage collaborative research between institutes and industries that leads to start-ups, and to cultivate talents for technical research.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
The scholar will receive a fellowship of Rs 31,000 per month for the first two years, followed by Rs 35,000 per month for the third year, under the scheme.
HRA will also be provided in accordance with Government of India (GOI) norms in the city/location where the research fellow is conducting their research.
In addition, scholars will be eligible for a contingency grant of Rs 15,000 per year to cover miscellaneous expenses.
Additional financial assistance will be provided by IIIT-Delhi for the purchase of a laptop, salary increase, Overseas Research Fellowships (ORF), research travel, and so on.
FELLOWSHIP ELIGIBILITY IN THE ADF SCHEME
To be eligible to apply, a candidate must have obtained the minimum percentage of educational qualification prescribed for eligibility, which is 70% (69.5% and above) for General/OBC candidates and 65% (64.5% and above) for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates.
In the absence of a percentage, the candidate must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 7.5 on a scale of 10 or equivalent at Bachelors and Masters, whereas it is 7.0 on a scale of 10 for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped (PH).
In addition to the requirements listed above, the candidate must have passed the GATE/ NET within the last five years.
The candidate must be under 30 years old on the date of admission to the respective university.
Candidates from the SC/ST/Women/Physically Disabled categories will, however, be granted a five-year age relaxation.
